Find Great Deals or Sell Your Craft Items

Posted by Cheryl

I was spending some time looking around TripleClicks (a site that I use to buy from and sell from) and came across some exciting things.

If you go to the Arts & Crafts section and start scrolling through the pages, you will find some terrific deals on Stamps and other crafting supplies.

I saw quite a few Stampin! Up Stamp Sets for under $8. I also saw people selling sets of cards that they created. Those are great if you don’t want to make your own or just want some fresh ideas. There are also some great items you can use in your crafting.

This may not be for everyone, but if you like shopping online and finding some great deals then it might be worth checking out.

TripleClicks

Also if you are looking for a place to sell your crafts then TripleClicks just might work for you. It is like a giant garage sale online. Plus it costs no more than $1.99 to list an item until it sells. Follow the link below to list your first item for FREE.

Sell First Item For Free

I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Wall Painting Tip - A Little Off Subject

Posted by Cheryl

Okay, I know this is a crafting blog, but to some wall painting is an art form, so while this may be a little off subject, I still think it is helpful.

I am painting my bedroom. Isn’t that exciting! One of the colors I chose was frosted pomegranite, in the red color family. Not knowing any better I bought some and came home to paint one of my white walls with the red. Well it didn’t turn out right. The white bled through and the paint went on light and was more of a pink than red.

I went back to store to buy more thinking maybe I just need a second coat and the lady at the counter immediately asked me what color I was covering up and when I said white, she said I needed to get a primer because that particular paint color would go on light, look pink and the white would bleed through. I told her it would have been nice if the person who sold it to me in the first place had told me that.

So, here is my tip for you.

When covering a white wall with any form of red paint, be sure to get a primer first.

Trust me, it will save you time, money and headache. I know you should probably primer just about anything but lets face it, most people don’t do that. In this case I sure wish I had. But now that it is all painted and I got everything worked out, it truly looks great to me. The bleeding and drying in different shades of the red makes it look like a faux finish and gives it character.

Until next time…
